Job Summary:The Critical Care Physician Assistant will deliver health care in the critical care settings to include, but not limited to, the recognition and management of common, critical illnesses and injuries, and the provisioning of care across the health care continuum with emphasis on early detection, treatment, and prevention of diseases.Locations: Community Medical CenterCooperman Barnabas Medical CenterJersey City Medical CenterMonmouth Medical Center Southern CampusTrinitas Regional Medical CenterEssential Functions:Obtains and records patient historyPerforms physical and medical screening examinationsCompletes diagnostic and therapeutic studiesOrders diagnostic laboratory tests, radiological studies, or other therapies as appropriateEstablishes diagnostic decision-making and initiates a treatment plan, which may include ordering medications, additional therapeutic modalities, etc.Instructs and counsels patients regarding mental and physical health, referring patients to appropriate specialists/resources.Adequately manages patient flow in the ICU and completes charting in a thorough and timely mannerJob Requirements:Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) Certifications, PALS (if required)Ability and willingness accommodate scheduling needs including working extended hours, weekdays, overnights, weekends, and holidaysPhysician Assistant CertificationRegistration & Licensure by the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners/ Physician Assistant Advisory requiredIf you are interested in learning more about this position or wish to apply directly, please contact our Lead APP Recruiter via email at Richard.Schaller2@rwjbh.org
