Job Summary And ResponsibilitiesAs a PACU Nurse, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.A PACU nurse is a highly skilled and compassionate professional responsible for providing comprehensive, individualized nursing care to patients in the immediate post-operative or post-procedural period. This role involves critical assessment, close monitoring of physiological parameters, pain management, and swift intervention to ensure patient stability and prevent complications as they emerge from anesthesia. The PACU nurse acts as a vital link in the patient's care continuum, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to facilitate a safe and effective recovery.RequiredJob RequirementsGraduate of an accredited school of nursing, upon hireRegistered Nurse: AR, upon hire andBasic Life Support - CPR and ACLS requiredMinimum of [e.g., 1-2 years] of recent experience in PACU, Critical Care (ICU), or Emergency Department (ED) nursing required.Experience with various anesthesia types and surgical procedures is preferred.Where You'll WorkCHI St. Vincent, a regional health network serving Arkansas, is part of CommonSpirit Health.
