Audio Visual Installation Tech II
Job DescriptionSummary:This position is responsible for assisting the Design and Installation team with installation as well as troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment. This position will function as the lead tech on job sites and will be responsible for the completion of jobs. Additionally, this position will provide on-site training to other members of the installation team.This position will also be assisting the service department perform routine maintenance and/or service on audio visual Equipment. While performing on-site work, D&I Lead technicians must provide outstanding customer service and develop working relationships with their clients.Duties and Responsibilities:Assist the design and installation department to install AV equipmentPerform routine maintenance or service work on AV equipmentConfigure AV equipment with manufacturer softwareDirect installation teamTake leadership role while on job siteProvide training and development to junior techniciansEnsure work is completed according to company standardsOperate system control softwareMaintain contact with customers in a friendly professional mannerLeave customer work site in a clean and orderly mannerAlways maintain a professional appearance on the jobNot consume alcohol or use drugs on the jobRespond to customer issues in a professional and timely mannerMaintain proper record keeping and care of ITA owned assets/equipmentOther duties as assignedEducation and Experience:Knowledge of leading audio visual equipment manufacturers and control systems as well as architectural and cabling requirements. Ability to QC, maintain and operate audio visual equipment. An electrical or mechanical engineering degree, or on-the-job AV design and/or installation experience. Strong understanding of manufacturer configuration softwareCompletion of Tech 1 trainingOccasional overnight travel may be required. Perform other duties as requiredPhysical Requirements:Must be able to repeatedly lift and move objects weighing in excess of 50 lbs. Must be able to regularly use & work safely on ladders at heights of 12-16’. Must be able to safely operate company owned and leased vehicles, or own on company time. Crawl, kneel, able to get off floor, without assistance. Able to read instructions, computer screen—may use corrective lenses. Climb stairs, walk without assistance, see, hear, and speak Able to work under tables, desks, racks, and other confined spaces without assistance. Able to operate power tools safely.
