Bus Driver / Engagement Coordinator

Now Hiring: Bus Driver/Engagement Coordinator at Mt. Bachelor Assisted Living and Memory Care (A Brightwater Community) Position Summary We are seeking a caring and dependable individual to join our team as a Bus Driver/Engagement Assistant. This unique dual-role position is responsible for safely transporting residents to and from scheduled destinations, while also assisting with the planning, coordination, and implementation of engaging activities and programs to enhance the quality of life for all residents. Key Responsibilities Safely drive the community bus and other vehicles to and from required destinations according to schedule. Assist in planning and implementing activity programs, including social, recreational, cultural, and wellness events. Encourage and facilitate resident participation in daily and special activities. Help prepare newsletters, calendars, and event materials, ensuring residents are informed of upcoming activities. Support volunteer recruitment, training, and recognition programs. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment on the community bus and in activity areas. Report any safety, maintenance, or scheduling concerns promptly to management. Promote resident advocacy, excellent customer service, and a positive, respectful community atmosphere. Adhere to community policies, procedures, and state/provincial regulations. Qualifications Authorization to drive company vehicles (bus/van) with a safe driving record. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain). Meets state or provincial health-related requirements. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage residents in meaningful activities. Previous experience working with seniors or in a similar role preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to assist residents entering/exiting the bus and set up activity equipment as needed.
