My client are a certified 'Best Place To Work'.THE POSITION:My client are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator/Director of Preconstruction with 15+ years of experience to assist in the company's continued growth. They are seeking an ambitious leader who can take ownership of preconstruction on $500M+ projects, and grow into a divisional preconstruction executive role in the coming years.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee a team focused on preparing competitive proposals and securing new project opportunitiesDevelop and sustain strong working relationships with both internal teams and external partnersWork alongside estimating teams to define and continuously refine project scopesCollaborate with operations and client-facing teams to ensure alignment and consistency in service deliverySupport the growth and development of team members through coaching and mentorshipEncourage collaboration across functions including operations, planning, digital teams, design, and marketingPartner with internal departments to maximize the effective use of tools and processesDrive ongoing improvements and manage change initiatives within the functionContribute to strategic decisions on pursuing new business opportunitiesMonitor and manage prequalification activities and track progress of partner engagementsEnsure appropriate staffing approaches are defined and followed for project requirementsReview and oversee bid-related documentation, including forms and compliance requirementsPrepare and manage proposals related to early-stage project servicesParticipate in client meetings, presentations, and selection processesSupport the preparation and finalization of partner agreements in line with internal standardsMaintain clear communication with clients throughout the procurement and award stagesPromote and model company values in all interactionsRequirementsDegree in a relevant discipline such as engineering, construction, architecture, or a related fieldExtensive experience (typically 15+ years) across estimating, procurement, or project deliveryStrong interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilitiesA team-oriented leadership approach with a focus on collaborationSolid technical understanding of construction practices; experience with complex facilities is advantageousAwareness of industry trends and ability to support competitive positioningBroad experience in preconstruction activities, including planning, resourcing, and risk evaluationExperience managing teams across multiple locations is beneficialFamiliarity with integrated or design-build delivery methods is an advantage
