Unity Mobile Game Developer Intern (Unpaid | OPT/EAD Eligible)About UsTort Co. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing mental wellness through innovative, game-based experiences. As we grow, we’re seeking motivated Unity developers who are eligible to work in the U.S. under OPT or EAD and are eager to gain meaningful experience in mobile game development while contributing to a mission-driven team.About the RoleThis is an unpaid, part-time internship (10–20 hrs/week), ideal for international students on OPT who want to build real-world Unity and mobile development experience. You’ll be directly involved in developing our mobile wellness game projects, experimenting with interactive mechanics, and learning how nonprofit gaming initiatives can make a real-world impact.What You’ll DoAssist in designing and coding gameplay features in Unity for mobile platforms (iOS/Android)Collaborate with designers, artists, and product leads to bring game concepts to lifeHelp with debugging, performance optimization, and QA testingImplement UI elements, simple animations, and interactive featuresContribute to documentation and version control using tools like Git, Monday.com, or JiraWhat You’ll GainA portfolio of nonprofit, mission-driven mobile game projectsMentorship and collaboration with experienced developers and creativesHands-on experience building Unity-based mobile games for impact-driven storytellingFlexibility to work remotely in a supportive, collaborative environmentRecommendation letters and LinkedIn endorsements for outstanding contributorsAbility to maintain OPT compliance without affecting your work authorization timeEligibility RequirementsMust be eligible to work in the U.S. (OPT/EAD or U.S. Citizen)Available to commit 10–20 hours per weekFamiliarity with Unity and C# (coursework or project experience acceptable)Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn quicklyInterest in gaming, mobile app development, or interactive experiencesImportant NoteThis is a volunteer, unpaid internship.
