Construction Project Executive - K-12 Minneapolis, MN | Direct Hire | $180,000 - $200,000 Konik is partnering with a general contractor that is seeking to add a Project Executive to lead K-12 and public-sector construction projects throughout the Midwest region. This is a strategic leadership opportunity for a senior construction professional who thrives in client-facing environments, enjoys mentoring teams, and has a strong background delivering complex education-focused projects. This role will provide leadership across operations, project execution, client development, and team management while helping drive continued growth within the education construction market. Construction Project Executive - K-12 Responsibilities:Lead and oversee multiple K-12 construction projects from preconstruction through closeoutProvide leadership, mentorship, and development support to Project Managers and operations teamsServe as the primary client interface and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, consultants, and trade partnersSupport project strategy, staffing, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and operational executionCollaborate with preconstruction and field leadership teams on constructability reviews, budgeting, scheduling, and procurement strategiesLead business development efforts within the education and public-sector markets, including presentations, proposals, and client relationship managementMonitor project financial performance, forecasting, cost controls, and profitability across assigned projects and teamsFoster a collaborative, high-accountability culture focused on quality, safety, client satisfaction, and long-term team development Construction Project Executive - K-12 Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred10+ years of commercial construction project leadership experience4+ years of people management or operations leadership experienceExtensive experience delivering K-12, education, or public-sector construction projectsStrong understanding of CMAR, Design-Build, and negotiated project delivery methodsExperience with project management and scheduling software such as Prolog, P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platformsStrong leadership, communication, business development, and relationship management skillsAbility to lead complex projects and mentor high-performing teams in a fast-paced construction environment Benefits:Comprehensive health benefitsCompetitive Paid Time Off (PTO) with paid holidaysPaid Time Off (PTO)401 (k) with Employer MatchTuition assistance and professional development supportExcellent bonus plan with upsideMonthly vehicle allowanceHighly visible leadership role with a recognized leader in the construction industry Be the first to learn about future positions by joining our Newsletter and following us on LinkedIn!
