Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med Surg Location: Jackson, MI 49201 Duration: 3+ Months contract (Possible Extension) Schedule Notes: 7 AM – 7 PM , WORKER REQUIRED TO FLOAT TO AN EQUAL OR LESSER ACUITY IF REQUESTED Job Summary: · Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. · Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. · Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. · Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. Education: · Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Preferred Education: · Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN). Required Certification & Licensure: · Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. · BLS Skills: · Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned. · Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. · Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. Schedule Notes: · 13-week contract · REQUIRED: 2+ years of general medsurg unit experience, BLS certification from AHA, current active MI RN licensure. · Candidates will be required to float to areas of equal or lesser acuity.
