Floater Legal Assistant

General Purpose:
The floater legal assistant undertakes a variety of administrative and clerical tasks including, but not limited to, saving documents, extracting information, inputting data entry received and filin in where needed to support the success of the team.
Job Duties:
Welcomes clients by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries.
Providing administrative assistance such as writing and editing e-mails, drafting memos, and preparing communications on the executive’s behalf.
Organize work tasks in a sequential and detail-oriented fashion to prevent missed deadlines, and catch spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors.
Generates revenues by documenting and inputting attorney billable time and reimbursable expenses.
Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Proofreading legal documents.
Taking and keeping notes during meetings for attorneys.
Mail, fax, or arrange for delivery of legal correspondence to clients, witnesses, and court officials; send information, materials or documentation.
Receive and place telephone calls; answer telephones to direct calls or provide information.
Make photocopies of correspondence, documents, and other printed matter.
Experience:
Knowledge and skills to perform administrative and assistant tasks.
Knowlege of MS Office Word, Excel, and Adobe.
Ability to proof spelling, punctuation and grammar.
Outstanding time-management and typing skills.
Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with coworkers.
Self motivated and well-organized.
Punctual and predictable attendance.
High school diploma generally required; college a plus.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
