Job DescriptionECS is seeking a Project Analyst Intern to work in our Fairfax, VA office for the summer of 2026.Job Description:ECS is seeking a Project Analyst for Summer 2026 to provide administrative and project management support for several ongoing efforts supporting development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions for the Department of Defense.Position Responsibilities:Work closely with the Project Management team supporting daily activitiesSchedule meetings, create agendas, publish minutes, and track actionsSupport creation and management of user accounts, and track JIRA TicketsDevelop Risk Register and manage risks, mitigation actions, and contingenciesSupport weekly Program Meetings with Government CustomersMaintain team documentation and organizationDevelop and maintain MS Project Plans and Schedule documentsWork closely with vendors and customer to ensure efficient taskingAssist the Project Manager with estimating project costAssist the Project Manager with project initiation, planning, execution and closingProvide operational support to Project Manager relating to procurement, staffing, and ongoing program initiativesRequired SkillsMust be a US CitizenCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analysis, Imagery Analysis, Defense, Security, Business, Project Management, Finance, Information Technology, or similar fieldExperience with Microsoft Office tools and O365, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and TeamsExceptional planning, problem-solving, data collection, and analytical skillsProactive and organized, with incredibly strong attention to detailA critical thinker with the ability to tackle discrete objectives while maintaining focus on the bigger picture / broader strategyWell-developed interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writingDemonstrated ability to expertly balance multiple, competing priorities and execute accordinglyA motivated, self-starter who enthusiastically tackles challenging operational problems and can quickly grasp and implement creative solutionsA proven track record of self-improvement and continuous learningDesired SkillsKnowledge of Agile, Kanban and/or JIRADoD 8570 Security Certificate (CompTIA Security+)Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) CertificationExperience with JIRA ticketing systemsKnowledge of government contracts and purchasingKnowledge of the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARs) and Government Procurement#ECS1ECS is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate or allow discrimination on the basis any characteristic protected by law.
