Senior IT Business Analyst - Onsite
POSITION SUMMARY:The Senior Business Analyst works cross functionally with various business partners and IT teams to document, design, and deliver solutions to organizational challenges. Acts as the liaison between stakeholders and IT resources, elicits and documents business & system requirements, tests and validates solutions meet requirements and supports the deployment process.This position requires being onsite at our office in Springfield, Missouri.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Facilitates requirement sessions and documents requirements. Creates and documents test cases, scenarios, and plans.Creates end user guides and other documentation. Analyzes current business process and makes recommendations for improvement. Extracts and analyzes data to build business cases. Ensures technical design solutions meet requirements and business needs.Works directly with business partners and stakeholders to understand individual needs. ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNEDEXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems ANDExperience: 5+ years of experience as Business Analyst OR Professional BA Certification (IIBA, PBA, etc.)KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY: Expert knowledge of the six Business Analysis Knowledge AreasGeneral knowledge of SDLC and Project Management principlesMust be highly organized, self-driven, results-oriented, with a positive outlook and clear focus on quality and corporate objectives, natural forward-thinker who utilizes critical analysis within all phases of the processAbility to work independently, maintain credibility, be reliable, collaborative, and determinedMust be adaptable and comfortable with ongoing variety in daily responsibilitiesMust have excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and persuade at all management levels and thrive in a cross-functional environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.Expert knowledge of MS Office including VisioExpert knowledge of flow charts including business and system flowsTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:MINIMAL – Depending on projects being worked on may require an occasional trip to a Distribution or Vendor site.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Regularly performs computer work and sitsOccasionally walks and standsSeldom/never lifts up to 50 lbsINDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives.
