Payroll & Benefits Administrator📍 Santa Fe Springs, CA🕒 Full-Time | Non-Exempt💲 $26.50 – $31.25 per hour📅 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (flexibility for overtime required)We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll & Benefits Administrator to oversee and manage weekly payroll operations for 300+ employees nationwide, including union employees. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining employee records, administering benefits, and supporting key HR functions.The ideal candidate will have strong payroll expertise, excellent organizational skills, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess and manage weekly payroll for 300+ employees nationwideVerify and audit timesheets, wage calculations, deductions, adjustments, bonuses, commissions, and tax withholdingsProcess employee paychecks, direct deposits, and payroll correctionsMaintain accurate payroll and employee records in the HRIS systemSupport onboarding activities, including entering new hire information and assigning employees in the Time & Labor modulePrepare payroll transfer reports and month-end payroll summariesTrack and update employee PTO balances, vacation, sick leave, and personal timeProcess union dues and coordinate union medical, dental, and vision invoicesAdminister employee benefits and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and HR policiesMaintain HR forms and employee documentation, including I-9s and medical recordsSupport compliance with company policies and safe workplace practicesQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredBasic accounting knowledge preferred3+ years of payroll administration experienceExperience using payroll systems, preferably PaylocityExperience in processing union payroll is requiredPayroll certifications such as APA, SHRM, or HRCI are a plusStrong attention to detail, confidentiality, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectivelyBenefits• 401(k) 3% Match• Dental insurance• Disability insurance• Health insurance• Health savings account• Life insurance• Paid sick time• Paid time off• Paid training• Retirement plan• Safety equipment provided• Vision insurance
