Program Manager, Defense ProgramsBinghamton, New YorkFull time, onsite. Occasional domestic travel and periodic extended hours based on customer or program requirements.Compensation: $105,000 to $175,000 per year (see spread flag below)This Program Manager role leads complex defense programs from contract award through execution, delivery, and sustainment. The company supports defense technology programs and provides relocation assistance for qualified candidates. This position serves as the primary customer interface while coordinating engineering, operations, finance, and business functions to meet contractual commitments.As Program Manager, you will oversee all phases of program execution, driving performance against technical, financial, and schedule objectives. You will develop and manage integrated program plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations, and coordinate cross-functional engineering, operations, supply chain, contracts, finance, and quality teams. This role includes monitoring program performance against cost, schedule, technical, and contractual objectives, preparing status reports and financial forecasts for senior leadership, and identifying program risks with effective mitigation strategies. You will develop corrective action plans for schedule, cost, or technical challenges, and support business growth initiatives including proposal development, customer engagement, and capture activities.Required QualificationsActive DoD Secret or higher security clearance, with investigation completed within the past 5 years U.S. citizenship required Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Program Management, or a related discipline 10+ years of program management or program leadership experience Demonstrated success managing complex defense, aerospace, or other highly technical programs Experience leading cross-functional teams in matrix organizations Strong financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and program cost control Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), program metrics, variance analysis, and schedule management Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Business, Engineering, Program Management, or a related discipline Defense or aerospace program experience Government contracts experience Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development and management Risk and opportunity management Proposal development and capture support Experience in multidisciplinary engineering organizations Contract execution within a DoD environment Compensation And Benefits$105,000 to $175,000 per year Relocation assistance for qualified candidates Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid time off To apply, submit your resume for consideration.
