Flat Glass Project Manager
The Project Manager leads the success of flat glass projects by owning the customer journey from estimate to installation. This role drives revenue through accurate estimating and efficient project planning while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and professional execution in the field. The Project Manager is the central coordinator between customers, vendors, field installers, CSRs, and branch leadership. Schedule: Full-time; Monday-FridayPay Scale: $32-$34 per hour depending on experience Base responsibilities include:Project OwnershipOwn every flat glass job from site measure to final transaction.Maintain full visibility of project timelines, costs, and deliverables.Conduct accurate field measurements and job assessments.Verify readiness before scheduling installation.Proactively solve project challenges and delays.Estimating & Revenue GenerationProduce accurate and timely project estimates.Build profitable job quotes using labor, material, and equipment calculations.Review project scope for upsell opportunities (hardware upgrades, coatings, warranty options).Improve quote-to-win ratio through professional follow-up and strong customer communication.Track and manage project margin integrity.Customer Experience & CommunicationServe as the primary point of contact for project customers.Build trust through professional updates and proactive communication.Set and clarify expectations around timelines, scope, and site access.Resolve customer issues with confidence and urgency.Deliver a high-standard, hospitality-based customer experience.Scheduling & Installation CoordinationSchedule projects efficiently based on material readiness and installer capacity.Coordinate installation teams and manage labor timelines.Communicate job requirements, tools, hardware, and safety needs.Support field execution through site readiness planning.Perform job check-ins and ensure installation quality meets Speedy standards.Material ManagementSource and order flat glass, hardware, and specialty fittings.Approve CAD drawings, fabrication details, and custom specs.Verify accurate part intake and track status through delivery.Prevent delays by managing lead times and vendor coordination.Ensure material handling and storage follow safety standards.Vender & Contractor RelationshipsBuild partnerships with glass suppliers and hardware vendors.Maintain positive working relationships with contractors and builders.Represent Speedy as a professional subcontractor in commercial environments.Drive vendor accountability with accuracy and delivery timelines.Reporting & DocumentationMaintain accurate project files, quotes, and installation notes.Track purchase orders, change orders, and job revisions.Provide weekly project status updates to management.Maintain expected documentation compliance and data accuracy.Safety & ComplianceEnsure all installations follow OSHA and Speedy Glass safety policy.Lead site hazard awareness and risk assessment before installation.Promote safe work practices and PPE compliance.Report incidents and support installation teams in safe executionRequirements: Experience within the glass IndustryState issued Driver's license and clean driving recordPhysical Requirements: lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds, standing, bending, long periods of time on your feetBecause we believe happy and healthy employees provide the best service to customers, we offer a comprehensive and customizable benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K with company match, and much more.Speedy Glass is an equal opportunity employer.
