Material Handler/Machine Operator

Material Handler Location: Yakima, WA Pay: $18 per hour Must be able to work any 12 hour shift! General Responsibilities: Maintain knowledge of product quality plans; check for flaws, blemishes, discoloration, burn marks and warping Assemble product in accordance with quality plan; assemble feet, cor-plugs and card holders as needed. Emboss product when required; ensure a quality embossing stamp. Perform inspection of each part to quality plan requirements. Notify supervisor of any suspect quality issues. Transport product into inventory in a safe manner; using Forklift machine Stack and package product in accordance with quality plan and supervisor's instructions Provide on the job training to new employees and temporary employees when requested by supervisor. Assist in routine preventive maintenance on mold and machines. Assist in lubing molds. Assist in clean up of manufacturing areas. Provide input to improve processes and procedures. Maintain safe workplace and ensure that safety policies are followed. Report safety concerns and hazards to your supervisor. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge/Education required: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. (Related work experience can be substituted for educational requirement.) Related Experience required: 0-3 years' experience in plastics industry preferred. Has a basic knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the plastics field. Ability to work in a seasonally fast paced environment under direct supervision. Forklift experience is a plus. Must be able to lift, push, pull frequently, and maneuver at least 100 pounds
