The Sr. Software Engineer will be responsible for designing and building scalable, end-to-end solutions across both front and backend systems. This role translates complex business needs into scalable automation solutions, including agentic workflows, Power Automate integrations, microservices, APIs, and data integrations. You will also bring UI/UX designs to life through intuitive, responsive front-end applications.The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who delivers clean, efficient, and resilient solutions across the full technology stack, with a strong focus on user experience and business impact.Responsibilities:Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices and APIs using Python, TypeScript, and modern frameworksDevelop and manage RESTful APIs supporting front-end applications, internal systems, and automation workflowsBuild and manage cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, including Lambda and event-driven architecturesIntegrate AWS services (e.g., Amazon Bedrock) for AI and automation use casesDesign and implement agentic workflows, orchestration logic, and integrations with platforms such as Power AutomateWrite and maintain backend unit and integration tests. Identify and address performance, scalability, and technical debt challengesTranslate UI/UX designs and product requirements into high-quality, responsive interfaces, including automation-focused UIs that surface workflows and decision pointsCollaborate with Product Owners and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiencesWrite clean, reusable, and testable code, including unit and integration tests (e.g., Jasmine, Karma)Participate in Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectivesServe as a technical leader and mentor through code reviews, pairing, and coachingContribute to architecture decisions, technical roadmaps, and cross-team standardsLead security best practices, including reviews and threat modelingQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of professional software development experienceStrong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (Angular) and PythonExperience with AWS, including Lambda and event-driven architecturesHands-on experience designing and implementing automation solutions, including agentic workflows, event-driven integrations, and low-code/no-code platforms such as Power AutomateFamiliarity with LLM-based tooling and AI services such as Amazon Bedrock.Experience with Docker, and Kubernetes; working knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure as code.Strong understanding of relational databases and SQLSolid experience with HTML5, CSS3, and preprocessors (SASS/LESS)Knowledge of secure coding practices and OWASP standardsProficiency with Git and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude)System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
