Tax Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join my clients firm. This role is responsible for overseeing tax compliance, reviewing complex tax returns, and providing strategic tax planning and advisory services. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage client relationships and multiple engagements. A CPA/EA designation is preferred but not required.Key Responsibilities:Review and prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entitiesOversee tax compliance processes to ensure accuracy and adherence to all applicable laws and deadlinesConduct advanced tax research and provide guidance on complex tax mattersDevelop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize financial outcomes for clients or the organizationManage multiple client engagements and serve as a primary point of contactSupervise, mentor, and develop junior staff, including reviewing work and providing performance feedbackCoordinate and support responses to tax notices, audits, and inquiries from tax authoritiesIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and qualityStay current on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate impacts to stakeholdersQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA/EA certification preferred; candidates with significant experience will also be considered6 years + of relevant tax experienceStrong knowledge of tax compliance, reporting requirements, and tax planning strategiesProven leadership experienceExperience with tax software and accounting systemsExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and client management abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentWork Environment & BenefitsCompetitive salary and bonuses ($135,000 - 175,000 depending on experience)Flexible work arrangements (hybrid)Professional development and continuing education supportComprehensive benefits package
