About the RoleThe Client is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen their cloud security posture across AWS and Azure. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls, conducting risk reviews, and embedding security into infrastructure and application designs. You will collaborate closely with Cloud Platform, DevOps, and application teams while working with a geographically distributed team (Irvine, San Antonio, New York).📌 Key ResponsibilitiesSupport ongoing cloud security engineering efforts (primarily AWS, some Azure).Design, implement, and maintain preventative & detective security controls, including:IAM & least‑privilege access controlsNetwork security baselines & guardrailsLogging, monitoring, and configuration standardsCSPM‑driven misconfiguration detection & remediationPerform cloud security design and risk reviews for infrastructure, services, and SaaS integrations.Partner with Cloud Platform, DevOps, and application teams to embed security.Document findings, recommendations, and security guidance.✅ Required Skills & ExperienceStrong hands‑on AWS security (IAM, networking, logging/monitoring, encryption, best practices).Exposure to Azure security (identity, policy, logging, native services).Experience implementing cloud‑native security controls & patterns.Familiarity with CSPM concepts (misconfig detection, risk prioritization, remediation workflows).Knowledge of identity & access reviews, secrets management, guardrails.Understanding of SaaS security (access models, integrations, risk reviews).Ability to automate/script security tasks (Python, PowerShell, or similar).Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence.🌟 Nice to HaveMulti‑cloud experience.DevSecOps / IaC security (Terraform).Relevant cloud/security certifications.Experience in regulated or high‑security environments.📩 If you’re passionate about cloud security and want to make an impact in a dynamic environment, we’d love to hear from you.
