Data Engineer

Open Systems Technologies Corporation is looking for a Data Engineer to join our high performing cyber team in support of a large government enterprise environment.Required Skills:Clearance: Top Secret with the ability to sit for the CI PolyRequires BS or BA degree.Eight Years of total IT experience required.The engineer will work with specified open-source technologies, as well as Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) technologies, to create an application that generates manageable and actionable intelligence from streams of structured and semi-structured data.Responsible for carrying out engineering tasks to deliver an advanced visual analytic application to include: developing data analytics for desktop and web-developed visual analytic software; facilitating the bulk analysis of relational information utilizing advanced graphics, visualization, and high-performance computing, as well as using the specified open source, COTS, and GOTS technologies; and establishing an application that produces manageable, actionable intelligence from streams of a structured and semi-structured data.Design strategies for enterprise database systems and set standards for operations, programming, and security.Design and construct large relational databases.Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structure and refine system performance and functionality.Experience Required:At least 8 years in a data architect or data engineer roleExperience with developing ETL processes/pipelinesExperience with modeling complex data structures of varied formatsAbility to develop scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats and support project team to scale, monitor and operate data platformsPreferred Experience:CRIBL experienceSplunk ExperienceMS Sentinel ExperienceWe're looking for someone experienced in building out data pipelines utilizing Splunk/Cribl or other similar SIEMs/ETL toolsBenefitsOur company OST has been operating since 1996 and have various contracts with Government agencies.
