Custodian Position Camden Rockport Middle School, housed in a beautiful new building, serves just under 400 students in grades 5-8 from the towns of Camden and Rockport. CRMS has been implementing a Project Based Learning model of curriculum and instruction and values students' active engagement in the learning process. Position Summary: Five Town CSD & MSAD #28 are now hiring year-round Custodians for our schools. The normal work schedule for these positions is 3 PM to 11:30 PM. Successful candidates will be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekend rotation, and be willing to adapt to different assignments from day to day. Key Responsibilities Maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment within the school buildings and grounds, including but not limited to: General floor care and cleaning Restroom maintenance, including sanitizing and stocking Waste management Window/Wall cleaning Perform minor repairs to ensure the proper functioning of building systems. Aid in set-up for special events. Ensure clean school grounds, including litter removal. Aid with snow/ice removal as needed. Qualifications/Skills Knowledge of safety procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery. Ability to perform a wide range of cleaning duties. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other staff. Time management and prioritization skills. Strong attention to detail. Dexterity in problem-solving. Requirements Background check, including fingerprinting. Maine Department of Education CHRC Approval.
