Data Center Engineer

Set Solutions is on the hunt for a Data Center Operations Specialist for a client in Cleveland OH. *Primary duties:* * Daily operations and configuration changes to the Cisco LAN and WAN environment * Nexus NX-OS Mode a must with expert level proficiency in the data center * Cisco ACI is a plus, but not required. * Cisco ASR100X configuration and management, experience with OSPF, BGP, Netflow, QOS, etc.) * Configuration changes at Client direction to network devices, Checkpoint firewalls, legacy ASA firewalls, and Firepower ASA * Device monitoring and predictive performance analysis using Client tools. * Incident response and remediation * Vendor and carrier communications, troubleshooting, and internal ticket management * Documentation of existing network environment and maintain documentation updates. * Device configuration backup to Client secure location (off net when possible) * Review and maintain incident and maintenance logs * Participate in architectural changes, layer 1 - 3 * Attend team meetings to plan and further IT department objectives. * Provide feedback to Client on areas the strengthen IT across the business. *Requirements:* * 10 years’ experience in a similar role supporting data center operations * Experience managing 10+ site LAN/WAN environment * Cisco Certification with proficiency in NX-OS * Onsite Cleveland, OH * Excellent written and oral communications skills Job Type: Contract Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour Benefits: * Health insurance Schedule: * 8 hour shift Experience: * Cisco ACI: 3 years (Preferred) * Nexus: 3 years (Required) * Cisco ASR100X: 1 year (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: * Cleveland, OH: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
