To that end, please do not include wage or salary information in your resume or other profile or application materials .Position Overview The Illinois Department of Transportation seeks to hire Storekeepers. Under general supervision of the Operations Supervisor, the Storekeeper issues supplies and maintains inventory of equipment and commodity items for the Operations Maintenance Facility.Essential Functions Issues signs, tools, equipment, and supplies to employees and others.Prepares receiving reports for all incoming supplies.Maintains manual/automated systems to record and control stockroom inventory.Utilizes AMP to prepare budget reports, timekeeping/timecards, daily accomplishments, and other requested information.Places orders for gasoline, oil, lubricants and other supplies through Central Management Services (CMS) purchasing system.Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of those enumerated above.Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of high school.Requires one year experience in the keeping of stores and stores records.Preferred Qualifications Prefers one (1) year of experience managing and organizing a multi-task work load.Prefers one (1) year of experience effectively communicating across multiple platforms to numerous, different audiences.Conditions of Employment Valid driver's license.Able to report to headquarters within 45 minutes in emergency situations.Ability to lift 50lbs and perform arduous labor.Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol testing, and random drug and alcohol testing.Successful completion of a background screening.Certain provisions of the revolving door restrictions contained in 5 ILCS 430/5-45 apply to this position.
