Workforce Development Coordinator

Job Summary Doyle Electric, Inc. is seeking a Workforce Development & Apprenticeship Coordinator to join our Baton Rouge team. Reporting to the Controller, this role is responsible for the administration, compliance, and execution of the company’s Registered Apprenticeship Program, while supporting workforce development initiatives and internal training efforts.  This position plays a critical role in building Doyle Electric’s long-term workforce pipeline by ensuring apprentices are progressing, training is coordinated, and workforce development efforts are aligned with the company’s growth strategy. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about developing people in a field-centric environment.   Key Responsibilities Apprenticeship Program Administration: Administer all aspects of the Registered Apprenticeship Program (DOL / LA Works / RAPIDS). Track apprentice on-the-job training (OJT) hours, classroom hours, and competency progression. Maintain accurate and compliant records for audits, reporting, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate apprentice onboarding, enrollment, agreements, and wage progression milestones. Serve as liaison with training providers and regulatory agencies. Ensure consistent application of apprenticeship standards, policies, and documentation.  Training & Development Coordination: Maintain and manage the company-wide training calendar (apprenticeship, safety, leadership, and technical training). Track employee certifications, licenses, and required training across the organization. Support onboarding training coordination for new hires. Assist in development and tracking of career pathways and skill progression.  Workforce Development & Recruiting Support: Coordinate workforce development initiatives with high schools, trade programs, and workforce organizations. Support recruiting pipeline efforts including job fairs, school partnerships, and community engagement. Coordinate, develop and maintain all marketing content, including social media and outreach materials. Track recruiting activities and pipeline metrics (events, candidates, hires).   Safety & Compliance Administrative Support: Maintain safety training records and documentation. Coordinate incident documentation, including collection and organization of required reports (e.g., incident reports, witness statements, first report of injury). Track and maintain OSHA logs and related compliance documentation. Support communication and documentation flow between field, safety leadership, and insurance/claims representatives. Assist with prequalification platforms (e.g., Avetta, ISNetWorld) with data collection and recordkeeping.    Core Competencies Dedicated to Doyle Electric’s (DE) Core Values: Excellence, Teamwork, Integrity, and Merit and Purpose: Doyle Electric exists to provide opportunities for each employee to maximize their personal and professional potential and to allow us to collectively make significant cultural and economic contributions to the communities in which we live and work. Strong organizational and detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain structured tracking systems.  Strong communication skills with the ability to work across field and office teams.  Commitment to supporting a field-centric culture and workforce development initiatives.  Qualifications Required: 2-4 years of experience in training coordination, workforce development, HR support, or administrative roles. Strong organizational and tracking skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite and Canva (or similar software). Ability to manage confidential and compliance-related information.   Preferred: Experience with Registered Apprenticeship Programs or workforce development initiatives. Experience in construction, skilled trades, or manufacturing environments.  Familiarity with training tracking systems or compliance reporting tools.  Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Workforce Development, or related field.   Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience. Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. Opportunities for professional development and career growth.  Work Environment The position operates primarily in an office environment with regular interaction across field, project, and department teams, as well as external partners such as schools, training providers, and workforce organizations.   Physical Demands This role is primarily office-based, requiring extended periods of computer work, regular communication, and routine movement within the office. Occasional travel to job sites, schools, or events may be required. The position may involve light lifting up to 15 pounds.
