CCFC Head of Performance

Title: Head of PerformanceReports to: Chief Sporting OfficerPosition Summary: The Head of Performance will:1. Build out Carolina Core's (CCFC) Strength and Conditioning Program2. Plan, deliver and evaluate physical development sessions to maximize individual player development and performance3. Work seamlessly with the Technical and Medical staffs in the management of player recovery, nutrition, wellbeing and RTP protocolsEssential FunctionsManage the programming and delivery of physical conditioning/speed and agility sessions throughout the seasonConduct team warmups before training sessions and matchesLead and facilitate in the areas of mobility, activation, post-session gym workouts, cool-downs and post-game recoveryExecute the monitoring and assessment of player physical development via data monitoring and collection (GPS, etc.)Organize, manage, and analyze post-session and post-game data in order to provide feedback to coaches and playersCollaborate with coaching staff and medical team to help establish and manage player internal and external loadsAssist in determining player participation in training each morning, when applicableUnder the leadership of the medical staff and head coach, assist in establishing return to play protocolsAssist in player rehabilitation by following the lead of the medical staffAssist players in the proper application of appropriate nutrition and hydration solutions for practice, competition, and travelDevelop periodized strength programming aligned with the soccer season, adjusting loads across preseason, in-season, and postseason phasesConduct body composition assessments and provide individualized nutrition recommendations to support athlete performance and long-term developmentImplement the periodization of the CCFC team preseason, in season and off-season programsQualificationsBachelor's degree in health-related or Exercise/Sports Science fieldNCSA-CSCS CertifiedPrior playing experience and/or applied soccer experience strongly preferredExperience with data monitoring/player GPS tracking systemsOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
