Travel RN - Med/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Transitional Care night shift position requiring at least 1 year of acute care experience and an active ME or compact RN license.Job Details• Hospital-based Med/Surg unit specializing in Transitional Care (LTC/SNF) with patients who are medically ready for discharge,• 46-bed unit with a maximum patient ratio of 1:8,• Mixed medical and surgical patient population,• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM,• Every other weekend required,• No on-call requirements,• May be floated to other units based on skillset, with a 25-mile float policy between facilities,• EMR: Epic (experience required),• Equipment includes specialty beds (Synergy Air, Stryker), Philips vital sign monitors, overhead lifts, Sara Steady, bladder scanner, hover mat, and Sage mat,Job Requirements• Active RN license - ME state or compact license currently in hand,• Current BLS certification required,• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience required,• EMR/charting experience required,• Driver's license required for consideration,• 2 professional references required,• SSN and DOB required for consideration,Additional Information• Provide patient-centered transitional care nursing to a mixed medical and surgical population preparing for discharge,• Completion of required Healthstream education modules required,• Scrubs may be any color; facility is fragrance-free,• Prohibited attire includes artificial nails, hoodies, graphic t-shirts, and open-toed shoes,• Use of AirPods, laptops, and cell phones on the unit is prohibited,• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility in Maine or New Hampshire are considered local and may be subject to a different pay rate,• Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions,• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position,
