Job Requirements: To ensure the success of our locum tenens engagement, candidates must meet the following criteria: Board Certification: Possession of Board Certification in Internal Medicine is required, or candidates should be within 0-5 years of residency completion. Active Nebraska License: Candidates must hold an active Nebraska medical license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) with LOQ (Letter of Qualification) in hand at the time of submission. Residency Completion: Successful completion of residency training is mandatory. Active BLS: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a prerequisite. Location Preference: While local candidates are preferred, we welcome applications from all qualified physicians. Clean Malpractice/Background: A pristine malpractice and background record is highly preferred. Availability: Candidates must commit to the specified dates outlined in the job description. Duties: Responsibilities include managing adult outpatients with a focus on chronic diseases, wellness care, and acute patient needs. EMR: The clinic utilizes EPIC for electronic medical records. Support Staff: One Clinical Support Staff (LPN or Medical Assistant) will be available for assistance. Reason for Coverage: The need for coverage arises due to vacation and vacancy within the team. Patient Load: The clinic, focusing solely on outpatient care, typically sees about 18 patients per day. First-day Information: Upon commencement, the selected physician will meet with the clinic manager for orientation on the morning of the first shift.
