Senior Java Software Engineer / Scrum Master

Overview In this hybrid role, you design, develop, test, and maintain cloud‑native Java microservices while also serving as Scrum Master for an Agile team. You contribute to a scaled, safety‑critical air traffic program that modernizes legacy capabilities and integrates cloud‑native solutions. You will collaborate with cross‑functional leaders to deliver secure software in a regulated environment and mentor engineers to ensure successful sprint execution. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, review, and deploy production‑quality cloud‑native Java microservicesFacilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, and guide team toward predictable sprint outcomesAdopt DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate secure software deliveryCoordinate with Release Train Engineer and stakeholders on status, risks, and dependenciesAssist in deployment and operational troubleshooting across development, test, and production environmentsMentor junior engineers and foster cross‑team collaboration to ensure project delivery Key requirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of experience or Master’s with 6+ years5+ years in designing, developing, testing, and reviewing Java applications2+ years as Scrum Master on a SAFe Agile team in large‑scale software developmentExtensive experience with Web development (React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)Experience with unit testing tools (JUnit, Mockito)Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, XSDSignificant experience with Spring Frameworks (Spring, Spring Security, Spring Boot)Significant experience with Linux and version control (Git or Subversion)Experience with IDEs (Eclipse, VS Code)Strong software development principles and communication skillsAbility to obtain SF‑85 Public Trust (Tier 2) suitabilityUS citizenship requiredEffective verbal and written communicationMentorship and teamworkProblem solving and facilitationJavaSpring Framework/Spring BootWeb technologies (React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
