Position DescriptionWe're growing rapidly and are looking for a DevOps Engineer responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translating them into actionable requirements.Role DescriptionThe role centers on engineering, operating, and improving real-time market-data and trading-workflow platforms that support global derivatives trading. It requires deep industry experience, strong technical capability, and the ability to operate in mission-critical production environments. The engineer works as part of a small, high-performing global team responsible for ensuring stability, resilience, and continuous improvement across trading systems, market-data distribution, and time-series analytics.Location: This role is based out of Houston and is three days onsite (Hybrid role).Future Duties and ResponsibilitiesOwn the reliability and performance of end-to-end derivatives-trading workflows, driving proactive improvements across infrastructure and application layersTroubleshoot and resolve complex issues spanning development teams, support groups, and technical business usersAct as a subject-matter expert for trading-system initiatives, market-data platforms, and exchange-connectivity workflowsSupport scalable algorithmic-trading environments with a strong focus on compliance, auditability, and regulatory requirementsParticipate in a global on-call rotation, ensuring uninterrupted trading operations across time zonesRequired Industry ExpertiseDeep understanding of major global futures exchanges and the full exchange-traded derivatives lifecycleMinimum 8 years in commodity trading, capital markets, or investment-bank environmentsStrong knowledge of market-data providers and liquidity-aggregation platformsExtensive experience with real-time market-data distribution platforms, feed handlers, and enterprise consolidated feedsLong-term experience with time-series analytics frameworks such as kdb or shaktiTechnical and Operational SkillsProven ability to deploy, operate, and improve production trading systems10+ years supporting front-office applications and managing vendor relationshipsRapid incident-response capability with a focus on turning tactical fixes into durable solutionsStrong monitoring, troubleshooting, and reliability-engineering mindsetUnderstanding of order capture, execution, allocation, settlement, and compliance workflowsStrong analytical skills and comfort working with complex data setsProficiency in Python, PowerShell, C#, SQL, or similar languages8+ years of FIX engineering experience, including exchange and vendor certificationFamiliarity with EMS/OMS platforms such as TT, NYFIX, Bloomberg, TradingScreenExperience with messaging systems and debugging TCP, multicast, and related network protocolsOperational experience with RTDS components (DACS, ADH, ADS) and multicast data-traffic managementCompensation RangeA reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200 – $214,800.
