Assembler

Westfalia Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Assembler to join our growing Production team! The Assembler is responsible for assembling steel and stainless steel parts and accessories for a wide variety of pallet, bag handling, case, and bottling equipment. Job Functions: Assemble components to produce a wide variety of pallet, bag handling, case, and bottling equipment Tag components with required identification to enable tracking through the job process Operate machinery such as drill press, punch press, saw, etc. for modification Read and follow blueprints and the layout of parts Complete paperwork daily Perform quality-control checks Operate the forklift and overhead cranes as needed Maintain material supply Provide on-the-job training to new and temporary employees Assist in other departments as needed Maintain and clean work area Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to work overtime, as needed Adherence to the company safety standards Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Fluent knowledge of tooling changes and bend deductions Ability to read and follow blueprint drawings Good oral and written communication in English Ability to operate other shop equipment such as vertical milling machine, punching machines, lathe and cutting saws Fork truck driver’s license Ability to operate overhead crane up to 15 tons Must be authorized to work in the United States, with proper documentation Must have own tools Education/Experience: 2-5 years’ work experience assembling conveyors or like components 2-5 years’ experience with steel or sheet metal in a manufacturing environment Why Work for Westfalia Technologies, Inc.?
