Field Service Welder

Set the standard for quality.As a Field Service Welder at Laron, you'll take on advanced welding work that directly impacts product quality and customer satisfaction.Location: Kingman, AZ Phoenix, AZCompetitive Pay: This position offersanhourly wage starting at $25.00 - $38.00/hr, depending on experience and qualifications.What You'll DoTravel to customer job sites to perform on-site welding, maintenance, and repair workSet up, align and operate weld positioning equipment in varying jobsite conditionsTroubleshoot weld positionersSet-up and operate sub arc weldingSafely and correctly operate the shear, brake, rolls, iron worker, horizontal press and horizontal sawRead and interpret blueprintsTroubleshoot and repair fabrication shop toolsOperate pattern torchParticipate in quoting estimates (e.g. staff hours, materials, etc.)Sets up and operate oxygen acetylene equipmentComplete super coupon welds with GTAW rootComplete hot pass followed by SMAW fillComplete cover passes on carbon steel in 6G position (including stainless steel) and 6010 electrode rootComplete cover on carbon steel in 6G position and GTAW rootComplete hot pass followed by SMAW fillIdentify and use appropriate filler materialsCut, fit and use simple pipe runsRead and interpret basic shop sketches and drawingsRead and interpret difficult isometric drawings and blueprintsPerform dye penetrant to accurately visual inspectionPerform tube welds (i.e. tube to header weld)Complete Q.A. welding packages with minimal supervision (including material receiving, hold points, filler material control and NDE testing methods)Regularly mentor & train junior technicians; and responds to queriesProvide root cause failure analysis of complex products / systems without assistance; and consistently repairs independentlyRegularly provide equipment/system/ process/ training recommendations to improve reliability and/or performanceMay direct day-to-day work of others in team as neededMaintain strong focus on safety, customer communication, and jobsite professionalismWhat You'll NeedHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferredAdvanced welding certifications, including SMAW, FCAW, and GTAW in all positionsProven ability to complete 6G welds on carbon and stainless steelStrong knowledge of welding procedures, materials, and fabrication techniquesAbility to read and interpret complex blueprints and isometric drawingsExperience with NDE methods and quality control processesStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionWillingness to mentor and support team developmentValid driver's license with a clean driving recordWhy Join OTC Industrial Technologies?Comprehensive Benefits:Our benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision care coverage, short-and long-term disability coverage, and life insurance.
