Founding Engineer

About Optimized Optimized builds AI that monitors supplier data, surfaces insights teams would otherwise miss, and executes supply chain workflows autonomously. Ask it a question or let it run on its own. We are a 4-person team based in San Francisco, backed by $2.5M in funding. About this role We’re building a small, talent-dense team to deploy AI agents into the most critical supply chains in the world. We need end-to-end engineers who can go from a customer’s factory floor to shipping production code in the same week. This is a full-time, on-site role in San Francisco reporting to Jeffrey Tsang. What you’ll do Deploy forward with customers and embed with procurement and supply chain teams to understand their hardest operational problems firsthand Translate real-world insights into product and infrastructure features that meaningfully improve the platform Own entire workstreams end-to-end, from scoping through deployment Work closely with the founders to define the technical and strategic direction of the company Set the standards for what agentic supply chain software looks like What we’re looking for 2+ years of experience as a full-stack or backend-leaning engineer Experience working with Python, TypeScript, React, LLMs, or AI systems Comfort owning ambiguous technical problems end-to-end, from customer discovery through production deployment Interest in working closely with customers and founders in a fast-moving, early-stage environment Compensation and benefits Salary: $160K–$230K, based on qualifications and experience Equity: Competitive equity Visa sponsorship: Available; transfers considered on a case-by-case basis Work location This role is in-office in San Francisco.!
