As part of ScionHealth, Vaughan combines system strength with strong local impact so that you can make your mark where your work truly matters.Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical provides safe, effective, and compassionate patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in an acute care hospital setting. The RN collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and families to achieve optimal patient outcomes, ensuring care is delivered in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements. The Flexible Solutions program provides a temporary opportunity for the employee to work a minimum of 36 hours (typically 3–12-hour shifts) per week for a 12-week commitment period at a Flexible Solutions Program rate of pay. The employee may be required to float between units on assigned shifts. This may include being assigned tech (CNA), Monitor Tech, or charge nurse duties if needed to ensure adequate provision of care for patients. Floating and patient care assignments are always based on the RN’s skill set and experience.
