This role combines BIM coordination and model management with hands-on plumbing design support across a variety of project types. The BIM Coordinator/Plumbing Designer will serve as a technical resource for Revit and BIM workflows while assisting engineers and project teams with the development and coordination of plumbing systems.This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support the continuous improvement of BIM standards and processes, and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality MEP projects. This role is located in San Antonio, Texas and offers a flexible hybrid work schedule.ResponsibilitiesBIM/Revit CoordinationServe as a primary resource for Revit and BIM workflows, providing technical support to project teamsSet up and manage Revit and AutoCAD projects in accordance with company standards and best practicesManage project backgrounds, linked models, xrefs, templates, worksets, sheets, and project standardsCoordinate architectural, structural, and MEP models to support project delivery and interdisciplinary collaborationAssist with BIM coordination and clash detection efforts on multi-discipline projectsMonitor model health, file performance, and adherence to BIM execution procedures and company standardsSupport the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of BIM and CAD standards, templates, and workflowsProvide guidance to team members on Revit best practices, model management, and production proceduresAssist with file organization, project archiving, and document management processes Plumbing DesignAssist engineers in developing plumbing system designs by creating and revising drawings and models as neededUtilize Revit and AutoCAD to prepare plumbing plans, riser diagrams, schedules, details, and construction documentsPerform basic plumbing system sizing, equipment layout, and system coordination under the direction of project engineersCoordinate plumbing systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines to ensure integrated building designsAssist with the preparation of construction documents, permit sets, specifications, equipment schedules, and submittal reviewsUpdate drawings and models based on engineer markups, coordination comments, and project requirementsParticipate in field verification and existing-condition documentation as needed Ensure compliance with applicable plumbing codes, standards, and project requirements throughout the design processCoordinate with project managers and team members to support project planning, scheduling, and successful project deliveryRequired Qualifications4+ years of experience utilizing Revit and AutoCAD within the MEP consulting industry2+ years of experience supporting plumbing system design for commercial projectsDemonstrated expertise in Revit project setup, model management, BIM coordination, and MEP drawing productionStrong understanding of plumbing systems, design practices, codes, and industry standardsExperience coordinating BIM efforts on multi-discipline projects, including linked models and clash detectionProven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectivesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced project environment while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detailStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracyDesired QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, Drafting, or a related field preferredExperience developing and maintaining Revit families, templates, and company standardsFamiliarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and BIM 360 workflowsUnderstanding of mechanical and electrical systems coordinationAutodesk Revit certificationQualificationsWhat We OfferAnnual merit increases based on work performanceAnnual profit-sharing bonus, contingent on company performanceLow-cost medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
