This position is ineligible for health, dental, and life insurance benefits through Chicago State University. The Program in Communications, Media Arts and Theatre seeks applicants for a part-time, non-tenure track lecturer to teach undergraduate courses in Theatre. Primary duties include teaching 1 or 2 theatre courses during a 4.5 month semester. Faculty members are expected to teach, develop syllabi and teaching materials related to courses taught, and hold regular office hours. Faculty are hired, evaluated, and retained on the basis of conditions covered in the Union Contract. Required Education An MFA or PhD in Theatre, or a related field, is required. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities We are seeking a theatre generalist who is capable of teaching undergraduate courses such as Introduction to Theatre, Acting, and Text Analysis.
