Job DescriptionHow will this role impact First Command?The Developer II is a fully proficient engineer who owns tasks end‑to‑end, writes clean and testable code, and contributes to code quality and operational readiness. They are self-motivated individuals that look for opportunities and are excited to grow their business and technical knowledge which in-turn allows their Agile team to deliver business value. They work closely with consultants and architect roles to implement the designed business solution.What will the employee do in this role?Breaks down design into executable pieces of workUpholds coding standards and best practices and contributes to peer reviewsIndependently diagnose and fix production issues Enable operations through documentation, knowledge transfer, and technologyParticipates in all phases of the software development lifecyclePreparation and Execution of tests and test plans (unit, integration and functional)Participates in scrum ceremonies, team, and dev discussionsCommunicate and work alongside members of their team in support of their day-to-day work itemsResponsible for learning business and technical knowledge from their peersSeek guidance on designs and escalate blockers appropriately What skills and qualifications will you need?EducationRequired - Bachelor’s degreeWork Experience3 to 6 years’ experienceCertifications Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) - PreferredRequired Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesSQL Query tuning and performance troubleshootingFamiliar with OpenAPI spec, prototyping APIs, and mocking APIsProficient in deployment toolchains in a cloud context (Azure DevOps, YAML, Terraform, Azure)Proficient in relevant coding Design Pattern and their implementationsStrong debugger and troubleshooter using App InsightsProficient in async programming conceptsKnowledge of one OOP language (C# preferred) or UI framework (Angular or React preferred)
