This role is situated at a military medical facility, specifically within the Department of Medicine at Ft. Bragg, NC.This facility is a dynamic teaching hospital with a growing focus on medical education.Fayetteville, the city where it is located, boasts a population of 175,000 and is positioned between the Appalachian Mountains and the pristine beaches of the Atlantic Ocean. The area is rich in historical landmarks, museums, entertainment options, a charming downtown, and renowned golf courses. One of Fayetteville's standout features is its vibrant arts and cultural scene, which includes theaters, symphony orchestras, and museums, along with a variety of festivals and special events throughout the year. Additionally, Fayetteville is home to professional hockey and indoor football teams, and is served by three higher education institutions: Fayetteville State University, Methodist University, and Fayetteville Technical Community College.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Physician specializing in Non-Invasive Cardiology, your duties will include:Assessing patients through laboratory tests and clinical evaluations to decide on suitable treatments or referrals to specialized clinics.Providing continuous care for chronic conditions and their complications, including valvular heart disease, ischemic heart disease, congestive heart failure, hypertension, and arrhythmias.Exercising independent judgment in selecting and conducting a comprehensive range of diagnostic tests for patients.Collaborating with specialists from various subspecialties on complex cases.Overseeing medical students, interns, and residents as they deliver care to patients in the Cardiology clinic.QualificationsApplicants must be U.S. citizens.Must hold Board Certification.Candidates are required to possess a permanent, full, and unrestricted medical license to practice in a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.A Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited institution in the United States or Canada is necessary, as recognized by an appropriate accrediting body at the time of graduation. Alternatively, a Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an international medical school that offers education and medical knowledge comparable to accredited U.S. institutions may be validated through permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) or a fifth pathway certificate for U.S. citizens who completed their premedical education domestically and their graduate education abroad.
