INTERNAL APPLICANT POOL- 6th - 8th Grade MATHEMATICS TEACHER

Brief Description: Teaches, as part of a middle school teaching assignment, one or more classes in a given subject area in grades 6 - 8, and assists in other school programs as assigned.
Major Duties & Responsibilites: Teaches skills, knowledge, concepts and attitudes in the subject area, utilizing approved courses of studies and other appropriate learning activities; develops instructional plans to organize class activities to provide maximum learning opportunities throughout the time-span of a course; develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small-group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student; evaluates students' academic growth, keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports; communicates with parents and school counselors on the progress of individual students toward meeting the established standards of achievement for a given grade level.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. Possession of a valid and appropriate Single-Subject Math Teaching Credential OR a Supplementary Authorization in English issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Possession of CLAD or like certificate.
