The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and executing HR strategies that support organizational goals and ensure a positive, compliant, and inclusive workplace culture. This role oversees core HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and training. The HR Manager serves as a strategic advisor to leadership and a resource for employees across all levels.Key ResponsibilitiesLead recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts for office and field positions.Manage recruiting activities across multiple channels, including job postings, candidate sourcing, and participation in career fairs and similar workforce development events.Build and maintain relationships with schools, trade programs, and community organizations to support recruiting and workforce pipeline development.Manage employee relations matters, performance issues, conflict resolution, and coaching for managers and employees.Lead employee engagement, wellness, and recognition programs.Oversee performance review processes, training programs, career development, and succession planning.Administer benefits, maintain HR records and HRIS system (Bamboo HR), and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.Support workforce planning, organizational change, and HR initiatives aligned with company objectives.Track recruiting, training, and employee development metrics to support decision-making and continuous improvement.Job RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibility.Experience in the construction industry preferred.Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, employee relations, and performance management.Experience with recruitment, benefits administration, HR systems, and training coordination.Strong communication, judgment, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally to jobsites, including locations such as Columbus, Indiana, to meet with onsite field employees.Employer is EOE/M/F/D/V.
