Fabrication Tech/Welder

Summary:This position is primarily focused on fabricating parts forsmall production runs based on customer orders. Main Duties and Responsibilities:Fabricates parts as ordered includingaluminum battery boxes, stainless steel tank straps, tread plate aluminum deckplates, and other parts as necessary. Performs welds and other processesrelated to the Fabrication shop as needed. Operates press brakes & heavymachinery to form parts & product per requirements. Cleans shop work area as required forsafe housekeeping practices. Assists other Fab shop employees withtheir orders/jobs as requested. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements:High School Diploma, or GED equivalent needed. Welding certification required, with minimum testing at shopto occur before hire. Must possess strong listening and communication skills. Should be able to multi-task and manage time effectively bysetting priorities. Must be able to maintain a positive attitude and customerservice focus in a fast-paced work environment. Must have ability to operate following: MIG welders, Shears,and Press Brakes. Need to have detail oriented and self-starter skill set. Must possess the ability to work safely in the presence ofshop machinery. Stair climbing and walking on uneven surfaceswill also be present. Subject to heat/cold conditions in warehouse conditions.Possible burns from welding equipment. Also, will be using heavy machinery withpossibility of crush injuries, precautions must be taken. Moderate use of hands,arms & legs will be needed, with repetitive pressing & pressure. Musthave good balance for standing on one leg for the Cincinnati press brakeoperation. May be required to lift to 50lbs. with assistance, or 25 lbs. by self.
