Senior Production Manager & Site Lead

Job Overview:Search Solution Group is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Operations Manager on behalf of our client, a growing manufacturing organization. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations, driving production performance, and ensuring operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, and productivity metrics. The Senior Manufacturing Operations Manager will play a critical role in developing teams, improving processes, and fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.Key Responsibilities:Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and on schedule.Manage production scheduling, workforce planning, workflow coordination, and resource allocation.Develop, coach, and mentor supervisors and production team members.Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost.Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, waste reduction, and operational efficiency.Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to resolve production challenges and improve overall performance.Support hiring, onboarding, training, employee development, and performance management efforts.Ensure compliance with safety standards, operating procedures, and quality requirements.Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-driven work environment.Utilize operational metrics and data analysis to make informed business decisions and improve manufacturing outcomes.Requirements Include:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.Experience:Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing, production, or operations leadership experience.At least 3 years of experience leading teams within a manufacturing environment.Proven experience managing production schedules, labor planning, quality oversight, and operational execution.Experience implementing continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.Experience in custom manufacturing, soft goods, furniture, textiles, upholstery, or similar industries is a plus.Skills:Strong leadership and team development skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Advanced problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.Project management and process improvement expertise.Workforce planning and resource management skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Certifications:Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related operational excellence certifications are preferred but not required.Knowledge:Manufacturing operations and production management.Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.Safety regulations and quality management systems.Production scheduling and workforce optimization.Performance metrics and operational reporting.Key Competencies:Leadership and Team DevelopmentStrategic ThinkingOperational ExcellenceContinuous Improvement MindsetAccountability and Results OrientationProblem Solving and Decision MakingCommunication and CollaborationChange ManagementCoaching and MentoringData-Driven Decision MakingAdaptability and Organizational AgilityCompany Overview:Company Industry: ManufacturingLocation: VirginiaEqual Opportunity Employer Statement:Search Solution Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where diversity is valued and respected.
