Phillips 66 & YOU - Together we can fuel the futureThe Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Boilermaker/Pipefitter), Rodeo Renewable Energy Complex is primarily responsible for maintenance of fixed equipment in the refinery including blinding, mechanical repair, replacement, fabrication, alteration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance; fixed equipment assets including piping systems, valves, heat exchangers, filters, boilers, furnaces, towers, reactors, pressure vessels, tanks, structural systems, etc. This position utilizes various hand and power tools, specialty tools, rigging equipment, mobile equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE). This position is on a 4/10 work schedule.This position requires the successful completion of an online assessment. The tasks listed below are typical, but do not necessarily limit assignments.What You'll DoFollow all Rodeo Renewable Energy Complex’s safe practices, procedures, engineering standards, specifications, and regulationsCommunicate all safety concerns and incidents to supervision immediatelyCommunicate work status, findings, and improvement opportunities to supervisionPerform Job Safety Analysis (JSA) including identifying specific hazards and applying proper mitigationsOperate mobile equipment including forklifts, manlifts, scissor lifts, etc.Operate hand and power tools including but not limited to wrenches, torque guns, flange spreaders, overhead hoists, lifting devices, tubing benders, saws, grinders, beveling tools, pipe threaders, cutting torches, rod out devices, hydro pumps, etc.Provide basic examination, troubleshooting, repair, replacement, and preventive maintenance of fixed equipment assets including work requiring the use of elevated PPE such as chemical, firefighting suits, and supplied air respiratorsBlind and unblind equipment and processes to support maintenance and operational needsRemove, clean, repair, replace, and install fixed equipment major components including but not limited to heat exchanger bundles, fin tube bundles, storage tanks, silos, reactors, tower internals, piping systems, structural systems, etc.Remove, clean, repair, replace, and install auxiliary equipment including but not limited to sight glasses, valves, strainers, filters, PSVs, swing gates, etc.Perform assembly and disassembly of bolted joints on piping and flanged connections on heat exchangers, process piping systems, utilities, etc. using proper gaskets, bolting, gasket surface preparation, and torque specificationsLay out, measure, calculate, cut, prep, fit for welder, assemble, and install pipe according to isometric drawings or technical specificationsMeasure, cut, and thread pipe to specifications, using pipe threaders and bendersInstall process tubing systems to specifications using measurements, benders, and appropriate fittingsRead and understand P&IDs, isometric drawings, and construction drawingsInspect rigging devices, and use proper rigging techniques and crane signaling to support, lift, or lower equipment safelyTest, replace, and repair steam tracing and steam trapsClear plugged piping using mechanical rod out devicesPerform hydrostatic testing of piping and equipment per specificationPerform other tasks as assigned by management to the level of training of the individual to maintain continuous asset operationWhat You'll Bring - RequiredLegally authorized to work in the United States without restrictionsMaintain a valid driver's licenseHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentMust possess a valid Transportation Workers' Identification Credential (TWIC) or qualify for a TWIC card by start date. Currently, this range is $37.09/hour to $57.06/hour (fully qualified journeyman) based upon qualifications. This position has a 7.5% Variable Cash Incentive Program target, 8% 401k match, and Cash Balance Account pension.
