Job DescriptionMed/Peds opening in Kansas - near KC * Located in*LaCynge, KS- just 1 hour south of Kansas CityFull-time, permanent openingEmployed positionCompetitive compensation and benefits! Essential Duties:Provide complete, comprehensive outpatient care for patients including health examinations and treatment of medical conditions, to include follow-up of problems detectedManage acute and chronic illness, routine care through care plans that are coordinated, when appropriate, with the patient's behavioral health providerMake appropriate referrals to internal disciplines and/or external resources/agencies for additional services requiredPrescribes medications for patients for treatment of conditions, as indicatedProvide clinical consultation to other providersOversee mid-level providers responsible for providing medical services, as assignedOversee medical students, as assignedAccurate, timely, and clear medical record documentationProvide appropriate follow-up with clinical support staff to include telephone/written correspondence (e.g. inform patients of test results)Provide clear written and oral communication to patients/guardians, and employeesParticipate in an on-call system for after-hours care and care for inpatient population, as assignedAbility to weigh the relative costs and benefits of a potential action* Assure that the medical/clinical policies as related to the health services are current and accurate Qualifications:Full licensure to practice medicine in the State of KansasGraduation from an accredited school of medicineCompletion of residency in appropriate specialtyBoard Certified in appropriate specialtyA strong community/public health orientation, preferredCommitment to serving the underserved Core Values: The core values are dignity and stewardship.
