Senior Structured Cabling SuperintendentLocation: Raleigh, NC (primarily) Travel: Occasional travel to Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas Schedule: Full-Time Compensation: $35-37/hour (flexible based on experience) Additional Perks:Company vehicle provided after 90 daysMileage assistance and monthly cell/data reimbursementESOP ownership, 401(k) match, medical & dental coverage, PTO, and holidaysPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Structured Cabling Superintendent to support a growing pipeline of commercial projects in the Raleigh market. This is a lead-level, hands-on role for a technician who can independently manage jobsites, lead crews, coordinate with general contractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to quality standards. This role goes beyond installationyou'll serve as the on-site technical lead, supporting project execution, mentoring junior technicians, and acting as the primary field contact for project coordination.Key ResponsibilitiesLead installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting of copper and fiber-optic cabling systemsSupervise and direct field crews; assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure quality workmanshipServe as the on-site point of contact with general contractors, project managers, and clientsReview job scope, drawings, and specifications to plan execution and conduit sizingInstall and route cabling through conduit, above ceilings, and between floors per commercial standardsPerform testing and certification of copper and fiber runs using industry-standard toolsRead and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and technical documentationIdentify and adhere to color codes and standards (568A/B, 6/12-strand fiber, 25/50 pair)Assist with installation of communications hardware and related infrastructureTrack project progress, ensure timelines are met, and escalate issues as neededMaintain accurate documentation and submit required paperwork on timeEnforce company and site-specific safety standards at all timesProvide field training, mentoring, and second-level troubleshooting support to techniciansIdentify recurring issues and recommend process improvementsPerform additional duties as assigned to support project successRequired QualificationsLevel III structured cabling experience in commercial environments (not residential)Strong hands-on experience with: Copper and fiber cabling installation and testingRunning and managing crewsOn-site project coordination with general contractorsAbility to independently manage jobsites from review through completionSolid understanding of conduit sizing and commercial cabling standardsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsWillingness to travel occasionally within North CarolinaPreferred QualificationsIndustry certifications (BICSI, fiber certifications, manufacturer certifications)Prior experience acting as Lead Technician or SuperintendentExperience supporting project managers and assisting with scheduling and coordinationWork Environment & Physical RequirementsWork performed in commercial construction environments, including non-climate-controlled spacesExposure to dust, noise, and construction-related conditionsAbility to: Lift up to 50 lbs unassistedStand, walk, and work with hands/arms for up to 8 hours dailyClimb ladders (8+ feet), work above ceilings, and access tight spacesPerform bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling as requiredWhy Join UsStrong project pipeline and job stabilityLeadership role with autonomy and visibilityCompany investment in employees through ESOP ownership, benefits, and career growthSupportive team culture focused on safety, quality, and professionalism
