Come and be one of them.About The RoleWe're looking for a rare, highly specialized tax professional to build and lead our tax function from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to shape tax strategy across multiple jurisdictions in an exciting, fast-growing industry — working alongside some of the best people in the world.This role sits at the intersection of tax law, business strategy, and financial operations. You won't just be a tax technician — you'll be a business partner who balances tax risk with commercial reality, and finds creative ways to align tax incentives with our forecasting, accounting, and financial reporting.What You'll DoTax Strategy & StructuringLead tax structuring from a legal entity perspective across US and UK operationsDrive and manage external advisors on complex structuring projectsLobby for and pursue tax incentives at the state levelIdentify and execute real tax savings opportunities without overengineering structuresIndirect TaxLead our sales tax and VAT compliance functionPerform sales tax/VAT analysis across relevant jurisdictionsTax Provision & ForecastingLead tax provision and tax forecasting for US and international entitiesIntegrate tax planning with financial forecasting and accounting operationsPayroll & Withholding TaxWork with advisors to ensure payroll tax complianceReview and improve withholding tax methodology for US state and UK payroll and benefitsTeam & Process BuildingBuild the tax team and processes from scratch, in the way you think is bestDrive restructuring projects with external tax and legal advisorsWhat We're Looking ForDeep expertise in US and UK tax law, with experience across both direct and indirect taxProven ability to navigate multi-jurisdictional tax structuring from a legal entity perspectiveExperience leading or managing tax provision processes under US GAAPTrack record of engaging with state-level tax authorities or lobbying for tax incentivesStrong commercial mindset — you think like a business person who happens to be a tax expertAbility to manage and drive external advisors to outcomesActive CPA required; JD preferredWhat Exceptional Looks LikeThe best person in this role will stand out by:Bringing creativity to tax structuring — finding ways to align incentives with our forecasting, accounting, and financial reportingThinking from a tax risk perspective — knowing when to act and when to let something go in service of the businessNever losing sight of the principle that tax serves the business, not the other way aroundThe base salary range for this position is $250,000 - $300,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This range represents our good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting.
