Enterprise Application Engineer - Microsoft Onsite - Hackensack, NJ OverviewA growing professional services organization is seeking an experienced Enterprise Application Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance critical business applications and enterprise systems. This role will partner closely with technical and business stakeholders to ensure application reliability, optimize system performance, develop integrations, and drive process automation initiatives across the organization.The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, API integrations, workflow automation, and enterprise application support, along with experience supporting Microsoft Azure technologies and Windows Server environments.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister, support, and optimize enterprise applications supporting financial, operational, and business processes.Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, scripts, reports, and data integrations.Develop and support SSIS packages, SSRS reports, and related data workflows.Build, maintain, and troubleshoot application integrations utilizing APIs and scripting technologies.Automate business and IT processes using workflow automation platforms such as Power Automate, Boomi, or similar technologies.Support Azure-based enterprise applications, including identity and authentication integrations.Manage Azure AD application registrations and enterprise application configurations.Administer and support Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server environments, including performance monitoring and optimization.Assist with Azure Fabric administration and data platform initiatives.Diagnose and resolve complex application, integration, and data-related issues across interconnected systems.Partner with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to implement enhancements and maintain system stability.Participate in application upgrades, patching activities, and scheduled system maintenance.Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and support materials.Required QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience supporting enterprise applications in a production environment.Advanced experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including: Query development and optimization, SSRS reporting, SSIS development and ETL processes.Basic database administration, including maintenance plans, SQL Agent jobs, and performance tuningExperience developing and supporting API integrations.Proficiency with scripting languages such as PowerShell, C#, or similar technologies.Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Enterprise Applications, including:Azure AD/App RegistrationsAuthentication and identity managementApplication integrationsExperience with workflow automation tools such as Power Automate, Boomi, or equivalent platforms.Strong Windows Server administration experience.Hands-on experience troubleshooting integrated application environments.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple teams.Strong organizational skills with a disciplined approach to documentation and process management.Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt in a dynamic environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting professional services or legal industry applications.Familiarity with enterprise financial, ERP, practice management, or business management systems.Exposure to Azure Fabric or modern cloud data platforms.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Microsoft or other relevant technical certifications.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package.Salary range: $110,000 - $135,000.This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on application engineer who enjoys working across enterprise systems, integrations, automation, and cloud technologies while contributing to the stability and modernization of a complex business application environment.
