Associate Attorney - September 11th Victim Compensation
Tasks for this position include:
Initiating work on new 9/11 compensation claims
Gathering and analyzing relevant information pertaining to personal injury and wrongful death claims
Investigating the nature and facts of each case
Working directly with the clients, witnesses, and entities
Preparing documents and correspondence necessary to enroll clients into the World Trade Center Health Program and to submit claims to the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund
Appearing before the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund for Appeal Hearings, in-person and virtually
Managing paralegal claim managers in strategy, analysis, and document gathering for September 11th Victim Compensation Fund Claims
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following strengths:
Must demonstrate empathy.
Must be a resourceful self starter with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.
Must be comfortable working with a case management system and documenting all activity.
Must have excellent organizational, written, and communication skills.
Must be admitted or pending admission to practice law in the state of New York.
Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese), written and verbal, is beneficial but not required for this position.
This role is primarily remote with in office work as needed. We have an amenity rich headquarters a few blocks from the World Trade Center.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
