Intermediate Interior Architectural Designer

We design for the long term and create thoughtful buildings and interiors with timeless appeal.About the RoleFF is seeking a talented Intermediate Designer to join our growing Boston office. You will work closely with senior staffs to take part in design development, consultant coordination and project documentation across all phases – from schematic design through construction administration. The right candidate brings a balance of technical rigor and design sensibility, paired with strong organizational skills, clear communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This is a role with real responsibility and a clear path toward greater project ownership over time.What You'll DoParticipate in design reviews across all project phases, contributing to the development and advancement of design intentContribute to technical solutions and construction details in close collaboration with design teamPrepare drawing sets, 3D models in Revit following FF's documentation and BIM standardsContribute to the selection of materials and finishes, ensuring alignment with design intentCoordinate consultant drawings, deliverables and schedulesEnsure compliance with applicable building codes and other regulatory standards throughout all phases of documentationConduct site visits and prepare field observation reports documenting construction progress and open items against design intentReview shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs under the guidance of senior team membersEffectively manage multiple tasks and schedules across concurrent projects with competing deadlinesProactively identify potential issues and elevate concerns to senior team members with clear documentation and propose resolutionsWhat You BringA professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution3-6 years of relevant professional experience at a similar architecture or interior design firmExperience in workplace, commercial, or hospitality interiors requiredDemonstrated experience in producing construction documentation including CD packages and permit sets.Proficiency in Revit required; working knowledge of AutoCAD, Rhino, Enscape or SketchupSolid understanding of building systems, materials, construction methods and interior detailingWorking knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements and other standardsStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present clearly in both internal and client-facing settingsActive pursuit of architectural licensure (ARE) or NCIDQ certification preferredApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.J-18808-Ljbffr
