Our team is committed to providing trauma-informed, client-centered services that promote lasting recovery.Position OverviewThe Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations of the Housing Department and ensuring the safety, structure, and well-being of clients within a residential setting. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, dependable, and capable of maintaining a therapeutic environment conducive to recovery.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesClient Monitoring & SupportAttend to the day-to-day operations of the Housing DepartmentSupervise all client activities and ensure adherence to the daily scheduleMake routine rounds and document appropriatelyProvide immediate support for client concerns and ensure their immediate needs are addressedRedirect clients respectfully when necessary to maintain order and safetyObserve and conduct Urine Drug ScreensObserve self-administration of client medications and document in Medication Observation Records (MORs)Communication & DocumentationCommunicate all client concerns clearly and document as requiredReport all adverse client behaviors and emergent situations in a calm and organized mannerDocument all unsafe conditions and communicate necessary repairs to the Lead BHTMaintain accurate shift reports and other required documentationFacility Maintenance & SafetyEnsure the physical residence is maintained per State of Indiana Department of Health standardsUphold company operational systems including cleanliness of residential and clinical buildingsIdentify and report any unsafe conditions or needed repairs promptlyTeam Collaboration & TrainingWork cohesively with all departments to ensure client safety and careAssist in training new BHT staffCommunicate department needs to the AdministratorAttend all scheduled meetings and training sessionsFacilitate client groups under the supervision of the Administrator and Director of Substance Abuse Counseling ServicesQualifications / Required ExperienceA minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a behavioral health, addiction recovery, or residential care setting preferredValid Drivers License with no restrictions in the state of Indiana.
