Sign Production SpecialistFASTSIGNS #69904 is hiring for a full-time Sign Production Specialist to join our team! Full-Time or Part-Time Available! Benefits/Perks: Competitive Pay (Range from $25 - 28/hr) Paid Vacation and Holiday (for FTEs after 1 year of service) Ongoing Training Opportunities A Successful FASTSIGNS Sign Production Specialist/Graphic Designer Will: Create computer-generated full-color graphics and/or vinyl output that can be printed and mounted to a substrate or weeded, cut and applied Complete or modify designs from customer drawings, files, or exact output of customer-provided design for output to media Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images Operate and maintain printer(s) Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, select style and size of type, and arrange layout based upon available space, aesthetic design, and production requirements. Inspect jobs for accuracy before sending them to output. Ensure correct material is used for each job and output device settings are accurate Maintain customer logo library; convert graphic files Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee. Clean and maintain storage areas Ideal Qualifications for FASTSIGNS Sign Production/Graphic Designer Specialist: 2-3 years of experience in sign production preferred 2-3 years of graphic design experience Proficient in Adobe Illustrator Knowledge of large format printers, plotters, and lamination machines High school diploma or equivalent Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more) Sit and view a computer screen for long periods (4 hours or more) Ability to lift 50 or more pounds Ability to use a ladder for installations up to 8 feet high Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work Ability to use light power equipment Do you enjoy working with people?
