Are we the road to your future?We are currently searching for an experienced Right of Way Agent to support our Southeast Region located in Florida.To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.What You’ll Be DoingNegotiating easement and right-of-way acquisitionsTalking with property owners and public officials and securing the purchase or lease of land for transportation projectsExplaining projects to landowners and getting approvals from landowners for access routes and restoration of roads and surfaces by negotiationPreparing Deeds and Easements and other legal forms related to land acquisitionsMay examine public records to determine ownership and property rightsMaintain up-to-date records of contact attempts with parcel ownersPerforming general administrative and clerical work, as necessary, to promote knowledge and assist the Team, and learning applicable regulations, laws, rules, policies, and proceduresPerform additional responsibilities as requested or assignedWhat You Need To HaveExperience negotiating easement and right-of-way acquisitionsHigh School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferredFlorida Real Estate license is preferred. Candidates who do not currently hold a license may be required to obtain one as a condition of employment.A minimum of three (3) years of related experience is required in right of way or real estate servicesKnowledge of laws and regulations involving real estate transactionsMust possess competent knowledge and skills in land description and terminology, surface and subsurface rights, ROW document analysis, and have excellent negotiation skillsAbility to read and interpret title commitments and right of way plats/planMust have strong analytical skills and communication skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft office suiteFL Dept. of Transportation Acquisition/Relocation certifications preferredFL Notary CommissionIRWA RW, RWA, or SRWA certification is preferred Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
